Research Writer Interview With Richey
You Can Call Me 'Mr. Good Essay'
What is your hometown and where are you currently located?
My hometown is Port Arthur, Texas. This is the home of musician Janis Joplin and football coach Jimmy Johnson. This is also a part of Southeast Texas, which shares many similar traits to Louisiana. I would actually say Port Arthur resembles more of Louisiana and less of Texas. I currently reside in College Station, Texas…home of the Texas A&M Aggies (they conveniently have a large library).
I hear you have a lot of education, what exactly are your degrees?
Well, I have a doctorate of jurisprudence, which is the degree you need in order to sit for the bar exam and become a lawyer. All lawyers have this degree. I also have a nursing degree with nursing licensure. This is my most recent degree because I am pursuing a Medical Doctorate. I also have degrees in MIS (your basic computer-based degree), Economics (which includes macro and micro), and English (with concentration in literature and creative writing).
Why so many degrees?
The short answer is boredom. The long answer is that I see something that interests me and believe that I can achieve it. I became a lawyer and thought that a nursing license would help me in medical malpractice cases. Once in nursing I discovered how interesting the healthcare field could be. So now I am pursuing a medical doctor career plan. I have no idea what I will do next, but for sure it will be something that interests me.
How did you begin your freelance writing career?
Back in 1999 – 2003 I owned and operated a website called Mr. Essay. At first I was writing papers for free and I would post those papers on my website for anybody to read. After some time many of the visitors began requesting custom papers and I obliged them for a fee. My business started from there and so did my freelance writing career. I have been a freelance writer for the past 12 years. I have had my ups and downs with the business, but I believe I have finally found a trustworthy and reputable company in CustomPapers.com. I am happy to be a member of their community and look forward to expanding my freelance career.
Why do you participate in freelance writing if you have education and employment prospects?
Well, first of all the legal profession is not all that it is cracked up to be. Lawyers do not get paid all that well for the work they have to do. Also, they are very under-appreciated. I was disillusioned in the legal profession and thought that a change would help my legal career. I decided that a nursing license would possibly help me expand into medical malpractice law. It did help me expand my expertise, but it probably destroyed my legal career. I realized that law was not my career path and healthcare would provide the outlet that I needed. I was a freelancer throughout law school. I took some time off during my legal career, but came right back to freelancing throughout nursing school. I continue to freelance to this day because it is a great opportunity to make some extra money while at the same time continuously exercising my mind.
What makes a great academic writer?
Two things make a great writer: patience and perseverance. You must have patience to conduct the research and understand the topic. You must have perseverance in order to successfully navigate through the entire writing process without getting discouraged or delaying completion of the work. Long and difficult assignments may seem daunting at first, but completing a 150 page paper over horizontal mergers feels fantastic once you realize what you had just accomplished.
Do experiences help you as a freelance essay writer for hire?
Yes! I am in my early thirties and I have traveled all over the world. I have traveled throughout Europe, to Egypt, all over South America, parts of Asia… but I have never visited Wisconsin. It would be ironic if Wisconsin is the mecca of experiences and I am just missing out.
Thanks for the talk. Anything else you want to tell us?
You are welcome. I guess I can offer some advice. Approach every task with conviction and integrity. Conviction will help you complete the task and integrity will help you complete the task correctly. Conviction and integrity should be a part of every facet of your life.
